About us

The history of Zojirushi began almost 100 years ago. It was in 1918 that Ichikawa Brothers Trading, the forefather of modern Zojirushi, created the first glass vacuum flask. And 30 years later, it began producing thermoses.

Zojirushi received its modern name and logo in the form of a baby elephant in 1961. By the way, among the Japanese, this animal symbolizes home comfort, which emphasizes the brand's philosophy.

In 1963, Zojirushi was ahead of its competitors - it launched the first automated production of thermoses in Japan. At that time, thermoses were produced using vacuum technology between the inner glass container and the steel shell.

But in 1981, Zojirushi took another step forward - it patented the process of creating a metal vacuum flask and released the iconic Tuff Boy model. From now on, Zojirushi thermoses have become super strong and at the same time very compact.

Today, Zojirushi produces not only world-famous thermoses, but also thermo mugs, thermo containers and even electrical appliances for the kitchen. We are not stopping there!
